BYSTAMP, a specialist in innovative stamp-based authentication solutions, today announced KEYMO: the world’s first electronic stamp that allows users to authenticate and sign all types of digital documents instantly and securely on a smartphone or tablet, with or without a network connection. Based on patented technology, KEYMO meets the highest security requirements, using Blockchain. KEYMO simplifies the authentication of an individual or a legal entity and makes it possible to sign a document for daily use in face-to-face transactions. KEYMO allows the user to authenticate himself, whether he is logged in or not, by stamping the screen of a smartphone or tablet. It uses patented optical technology to ensure a completely secure pairing between KEYMO and the smartphone or tablet. While pairing, the authentication information is retrieved by the application, then authorized, registered and time-stamped in KEYMO and finally stored in the Blockchain. This makes it ideal for any individual or any type of company or administration that wishes to dematerialize its processes with a high level of authentication and traceability. KEYMO simplifies authentication and signature while keeping the natural gesture of “stamping” alive.

Easy-to-use authentication solution

When assigning KEYMO to its owner, all biometric data is protected and stored in a highly secure area of KEYMO, without passing through servers or the Cloud. KEYMO therefore guarantees the owner full possession of his/her personal data. The facial recognition and/or PIN code data stored in this way enables the user’s identity to be verified when KEYMO is placed on the screen of a smartphone or tablet. Each KEYMO can perform several thousand stamps without recharging, for a period of use of about 2 years with several dozen authentications per day. In the case of very intensive use, BYSTAMP has designed KEYMO with a simple and quick battery change.

Advanced security technologies

KEYMO is based on a unique, scalable and patented (3 patents) system of intelligent unique pairing tokens to secure every transaction. It provides a technological authentication “brick” integrated into the SDK and uses an intelligent coupling technology based on the variation of the screen’s light intensity to pair with all smartphones and tablets. This unique light token secures pairing and two-way Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) data exchange. KEYMO also stores sensitive data such as transaction records in addition to the PIN code and the owner’s biometric data, all secured in a dedicated area. The BYSTAMP technology protocol is GRPD compliant.

Strong traceability with a dual-proof receipt

KEYMO is also a digital trust tool: stamping a digital document with KEYMO during a face-to-face exchange provides users with “Transaction Receipts” (double proof traceability): on one side of the device that is stamped and on the other side in the KEYMO memory. Each transaction made by KEYMO is then “unloaded” into a Blockchain via the BYSTAMP’s Inkpad app. Downloaded in our dedicated InkPad app, these digital receipts can be used by customers in the same way as credit card receipts issued after payment in the store.

A customized solution for any type of transaction

Users can finally securely authenticate themselves and sign any type of documents such as a diploma, a contract, a quote, a picture, an invoice or a prescription (doctors). For example, he can authenticate a transaction on a delivery terminal when sending/receiving a package, record working hours or validate the conformity of a maintenance procedure. It can also be used in retail when delivering “bonus stars” through digital loyalty cards. BYSTAMP also provides a free license and SDK to integrators and software publishers who wish to customize the UX design for their clients with our by stamp protocol.
